Pilates Class Descriptions
Beginner Mat Pilates
This beginner-level Pilates class is ideal for individuals who are new to Pilates or restarting their Pilates routine. In this session, we will concentrate on the three core principles of Pilates, namely breathing, control, and precision. We will learn and practice 34 fundamental Pilates exercises, utilizing different props and modifying exercises to suit your fitness level and abilities.
Tuesday 11:30am in person and Thursday 10am Virtual.
Intermediate Mat Pilates
This Intermediate-level Pilates class is designed for those who already have some knowledge of Pilates and want to learn intermediate exercises and routines. It is also suitable for runners, joggers, and bikers who wish to develop core strength, improve flexibility and agility, and strengthen hamstrings, back, and thigh muscles to lessen joint discomfort and prevent injury. Our main focus will be on breathing, control, and precision while introducing additional core Power Pilates principles. We will use props such as the Pilates bar, Pilates Circle, Bosu Ball, and Kettlebell, and may include the ballet bar and TRX suspension system to challenge and motivate you.
Mixed Level Pilates
This Mixed-level Pilates class is designed for both new and intermediate-level practitioners. The focus of this class will be on getting grounded in the basic Mat Pilates routines while incorporating more advanced exercises and techniques tailored to your fitness level and ability. To challenge and motivate your body, we will use various pieces of equipment such as the Pilates Circle, Pilates Bar, hand weights, and Pilates ball. Throughout the class, we will emphasize breathing, control, and precision while introducing additional core principles as appropriate.
